News from CSF Sud de France (by Sue Ackloo)

On Wednesday, January 28th Sud held its AGM in Carcassonne. It was very well attended in spite of illness and threatened blockades by tractors. Our President, Jane Beck, gave us an insight into who she is and then went on to give us her outline plans for this coming year. Sue Ackloo, Treasurer, presented the accounts for 2025 and the budget for 2026. Rob Houghton gave us an update on training and how he works with a team of departmental co-ordinators and peer support groups. Rachel Thomas-Bonnet, our guest speaker, gave us an amusing presentation of some of the scenarios people encounter when they first move to France, and we were also delighted to have Professeur Henri Roché with us to answer questions about La Ligue.

It was then time to take our chairs to the tables to enjoy a lovely lunch and a chance to catch up with each other.
